Download the latest active fire shape files
Active fire shape files are available for the last 48 hour and 7
day time period. Each of the shape files are updated every day at 7:00 AM,11:45 AM,3:45 PM and 7:45 PM
EST. The files have been zipped to reduce download size. Please use any
valid compression software to extract the contents. The size of the files vary
each day in accordance to the number of fires, in general the zipped file
size should range anywhere between 3 kb to 3.0 mb .
The image gives the geographic extent of each of the
subsets. Please download the shape file corresponding to your region of
interest.
