SERVIR Web Fire Mapper

SERVIR Web Fire Mapper displays active fires detected by the MODIS Rapid Response System, a collaboration between the NASA Goddard Space Flight Centre (GSFC), the University of Maryland (UMD), and The Water Center for the Humid Tropics of Latin America & the Caribbean (CATHALAC). To view customized maps of active fires in the region click on the toolbar above or Maps from the side menu.

Interactive Map Services
The following interactive map services display near real-time MODIS active fire data in conjunction with other geospatial layers. Each map service allows users to customize maps by selecting from a range of geospatial layers and overlaying them with the most recently acquired active fire data. For each fire detected Web Fire Mapper provides the latitude, longitude, brightness temperature, scan and pixel size, date and time of acquisition and confidence value. Fire Alerts
Subscribe here to receive daily e-mails notifying you of fires in your area of interest. The email will include a JPEG image showing the locations of detected fires as well as the geographic coordinates of pixels flagged as containing one or more fires, the time and date of data satellite acquisition and a confidence value. E-mail alerts will only be sent if a fire is detected in your area of interest. To view a sample Fire Email Alert click here

La Alerta de Incendios en Mesoamérica despliega fuegos activos detectados por el Sistema de Respuesta Rápida MODIS, lo cual es una colaboración entre el Centro Goddard de Vuelos Espaciales (GSFC), la Universidad de Maryland (UMD), y el Centro del Agua del Trópico Humedo de América Latina y el Caribe (CATHALAC). Servicios de Mapas Interactivos
Los siguientes servicios de mapas interactivos en tiempo semi-real muestran datos de fuegos activos de MODIS en conjunto con otras capas geográficas. Cada mapa interactivo permite al usuario personalizar el mapa mediante seleccionar un rango de capas geográficas y superponiéndolas con los datos más recientes de fuegos detectados. Para cada fuego detectado, la Alerta de Incendios de Mesoamérica presenta información sobre latitud, longitud, luminosidad, temperatura, tamaño del píxel, fecha y hora de adquisición y valor de confiabilidad. Suscríbase aquí para recibir notificaciones diarias por correo electrónico de fuegos en su área de interés. El correo incluye una imagen en JPG mostrando las ubicaciones de fuegos detectados así como coordenadas geográficas de los pixeles marcados como posibles fuegos, la fecha y hora de la lectura del satélite y el valor de confiabilidad.
