Dongdong Wang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geographical Sciences at University of Maryland College Park. His primary research goal is to gain better understanding of the spatiotemporal variability of the climate system and its interactions with other components of the Earth system by utilizing remotely sensed data sets. Specifically, his current research activities include developing more accurate and efficient retrieval algorithms for Earth radiation budget components, integrating the existing satellite products to generate a consistent product with improved quality and integrity, and applying the products to investigate the spatial distribution and temporal variations of Earth radiation and energy components and to characterize their variability, trend, feedback and interactions with other components of the Earth system. Dr. Wang is an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, and the open access journal of Remote Sensing.
